Ngorongoro Crater
Covering an area of 264 sq. km. and 19 km wide, Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest unbroken calderas in the world. Its steep walls rise above 500 m and offer a backdrop for an incredible natural spectacle as prey and predators graze their way around the open savannahs, swamps, and acacia woodland on the crater floor. It’s such an incredible sight that you’ll be wondering if you’ve descended into a wildlife haven.
Oftentimes called the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is an extensive highland area and shelters one of the most beautiful Tanzania Safari destinations.
