Arrive Zanzibar International Airport, after clearing customs and immigration you will be meet by our representative and transfer to stone town. On arrival at the hotel, you will be assisted to check in to your room. Dinner and overnight.
Situated on the western coast of Zanzibar’s Unguja Island, UNESCO-listed Stone Town is the oldest part of Zanzibar City and is the cultural heart of the island. The town’s photogenic winding alleys are fringed by grand historic buildings, bustling bazaars, a glorious sultan’s palace, and the intriguing House of Wonders - named as such for exhibiting running water and electricity as never before in 1883. Stone Town also boasts numerous sacred buildings - over fifty mosques, six Hindu Temples, a Catholic, and an Anglican Cathedral - all of which are beautiful in unique ways. Other highlights include sunset dhow cruises; spice tours to aromatic distilleries; and neighbouring Changuu Island, home to stunning sandy beaches, a historic prison, and dozens of giant, ancient tortoises.
The Swahili House is located in one of the small streets of the bustling Stone Town in the Zanzibar Archipelago. The impressive building has five floors that are all built around a beautiful traditional Zanzibar courtyard. Then, as the sun sets, join the revellers as the town comes alive, cocktails flow freely and the beach bonfires begin to blaze. These historic buildings include the former Slave Market, the Anglican Cathedral, the House of Wonders, the Sultans’ Palace Museum, and the Old Arab Fort and Dispensary. Visitors have the opportunity to explore the markets, and the residential areas. An optional stop is available to rest from the heat at The Zanzibar Coffee House, where visitors can enjoy a selection of drinks, local sweets and seasonal fruits. The tour is flexible and can be adapted according to visitors' interests and time frame. Visitors can also shop for antiques and souvenirs.
After breakfast depart for Spice tour, after the tour you will have local lunch, after lunch depart for Jonzani Tour. return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Jozani Forest Tour
Located in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Jozani Forest Tour offers visitors a spectacular tour through Jozani Forest. The forest is home to a number of endemic species, including the Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkey, leopards, reptiles, and birds. A knowledgeable park guide accompanies visitors along a nature trail lined with eucalyptus and mahogany trees. Visitors will learn about the animals and the medicinal properties of various plants in the forest. Troops of Zanzibar Red Colobus monkeys can be found scrambling from branch to branch in search of food. They have become acclimatised to people and visitors are able to get close enough to take spectacular photos. Also, visitors will be taken along the mangrove boardwalk to spot a variety of tropical fish and learn about the important role of mangroves for local villagers and communities.
Located in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Spice Tour offers visitors a unique experience. Zanzibar was known as a spice island, exporting a variety of spices across the world which were brought over from Asia and South America, but today the plantations are a tribute to the island’s past. A knowledgeable guide takes visitors through the spice farm where they can feel, smell and taste different spices and tropical fruit. These spices and fruit include vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, and many others. Next, visitors can shop for spices at a local market and partake in a Swahili cookery lesson from skilled chefs.
After breakfast, morning at leisure you can decide what time you want to go for snorkeling tour. All meals lunch dinner is included.
The Chumbe Snorkeling (Gallery Tours) experience is offered at Chumbe Island, a natural reserve just off the coast of Zanzibar. A short boat ride away from the main island of Zanzibar, a day out at Chumbe is not complete without some snorkeling. The reef is rich in marine life, including turtles, stingrays, lobsters and schools of brilliant tropical fish.
Snorkeling equipment is provided on the island with tuition available for beginners. Walking through Chumbe’s coral rag forest, visitors can see fossilized structures in between the jungle of vines and vegetation.
Cold soda and bottles of water are complimentary throughout the day, with a selection of mouth-watering Swahili dishes for lunch freshly cooked on the island. It is recommended that visitors bring comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a sun hat, and swimwear.
